Granulomatous duodenitis of unknown aetiology
**Definition:** A rare disease characterised by the presence of granulomas within the duodenal mucosa or submucosa. Common causes are Crohn’s disease (CD), disseminated sarcoidosis and infections (tuberculosis [TB], syphilis, fungal).
