Acne conglobata

**Definition:** An uncommon chronic severe inflammatory form of acne characterised by the development of multiple abscesses and sinuses followed by extensive hypertrophic and atrophic scarring. It may be associated with spondyloarthropathy or with other follicular occlusive diseases including dissecting cellulitis of the scalp and hidradenitis suppurativa.
