Congenital stenosis or atresia of bronchus

**Definition:** A condition caused by interruption of a lobar, segmental, or subsegmental bronchus with peripheral mucus impaction, during the antenatal period. This condition is characterised by hyperinflation of the blocked section of lung. This condition may present with respiratory distress, infiltrative pneumonia, or emphysema.
