Fusion of labia

**Definition:** A condition of the labia commonly affecting females between 6 months and 6 years of age, caused by skin irritation during infancy. This condition is characterised by the sealing of the labia minor (usually completely) due to a thin membrane that seals the entrance to the vagina, leaving a very small gap for urination.
