Salmon patch
**Definition:** A common skin condition of neonates, characterised by flat, deep-pink localised areas of capillary dilation that occur predominantly on the back of the neck, lower occiput, upper eyelids, upper lip, and bridge of the nose. The areas disappear permanently by about 2 years of age.
