Real-estate activities on a fee or contract basis involve managing, renting, leasing, operating or administering property on behalf of owners for a fee, commission or contract, including property-management services, valuation, advisory and related support, but not the ownership of the property itself. This sector excludes own-account real-estate activities, which are classified separately.
