Materials Engineering examines the properties, processing, and performance of engineering materials such as metals, polymers, ceramics and composites, and develops new materials and manufacturing techniques. It also encompasses testing, characterisation, and failure analysis to improve durability, functionality and cost-effectiveness of material-based solutions.
