Indigenous Studies

Field 45 Indigenous Studies encompasses research on the histories, cultures, languages, knowledge systems and contemporary issues of Indigenous peoples, primarily focusing on Māori, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It includes interdisciplinary work in anthropology, archaeology, law, health, education and policy that advances understanding of Indigenous perspectives, rights and wellbeing.
