Specialised Lending

SA-SPEC denotes the "Specialised Lending" exposure category in the Basel III/IV framework, covering loans and credit facilities that target narrow, high-risk asset classes such as project finance, real estate, infrastructure, commodities or other sector-specific financing. Because these exposures exhibit greater credit concentration and complexity, they attract higher risk weights and more stringent capital buffers than standard corporate lending.
