TM is a catch-all category for financial instruments that do not fit any specific ISO 10962 class and are identified mainly by reference to external sources such as indices, benchmarks or bespoke arrangements. It groups referential instruments whose defining features are derived from the referenced entity rather than intrinsic characteristics.
