Subpart E - Labeling

Subpart E of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 172, establishes the mandatory labeling requirements for hazardous materials in transportation. It specifies the design, color, symbols, durability and placement of labels on containers, vehicles and packaging to ensure proper identification and safety during handling and transport.
