Subpart F - Placarding

Subpart F of 49 CFR Part 172 sets the rules for hazardous-material placarding on motor vehicles, rail cars, aircraft and containers, specifying when placards must be displayed, how they are to be designed, sized, positioned and maintained, and the criteria for using alternate or supplemental placards.
