Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation

Code 27 in the EU Combined Nomenclature groups all mineral fuels, mineral oils and their distillation products, including crude petroleum, natural gas, gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, kerosene, lubricating oils and related petrochemical intermediates, whether for energy, transport or industrial use. It also covers solid fuels such as coke and briquettes derived from coal or petroleum residues. This chapter is the basis for customs duties and statistical reporting on energy commodities.
