The 8C entry governs marine materials such as hull and superstructure components, deck and bulkhead structures, and associated alloys, composites, coatings and repair-oriented items used in the construction, modification or maintenance of vessels. Items listed under 8C are subject to export licensing when destined for countries or end-users for which the United States imposes controls for national-security reasons.
