CAT7 governs the export of equipment, components, software and technology used for navigation, guidance, flight control and related avionics, including inertial navigation systems, radar, GPS receivers and aircraft electronic displays. Items designed for civilian aviation are generally subject to less restrictive licensing than those specifically adapted for military or dual-use platforms.
