Electricity generation from ocean energy technologies

OBJ1-ENE5 designates electricity generation from ocean energy technologies, including wave, tidal and ocean current converters, as a sustainable activity under the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance. It qualifies when the project delivers a substantial contribution to climate-change mitigation, complies with the taxonomy's technical screening criteria, and does not cause significant harm to other environmental objectives.
