Electricity generation from bioenergy

The EU taxonomy entry OBJ1-ENE6 defines electricity generation from bioenergy as a climate-mitigation activity that must achieve a life-cycle greenhouse-gas intensity below the taxonomy threshold, use sustainably sourced biomass, and avoid significant harm to other environmental objectives. It also requires compliance with minimum social safeguards and alignment with the EU's circular-economy and biodiversity goals.
