10-Hour Driving Limit (passenger-carrying)
The FMCSA regulation sets a maximum of ten consecutive hours of driving for drivers of passenger-carrying vehicles, after which a mandatory off-duty period of at least eight hours is required before driving again. It applies to commercial drivers operating buses and other passenger transport under hours-of-service rules.
