Adverse Driving Conditions Exception

The Adverse Driving Conditions Exception permits commercial drivers to exceed standard hours-of-service limits when unexpected severe weather, road hazards, or other unsafe conditions require continued operation to reach a safe location. Drivers must still document the event and obtain the required rest periods afterward to remain compliant.
