Article 18 - Right to restriction of processing

Article 18 of the GDPR gives data subjects the right to request a temporary restriction on the processing of their personal data when they contest its accuracy, the processing is unlawful, the controller no longer needs the data but the subject requires it for legal claims, or the controller has received an objection to processing. The restriction must be lifted once the controller verifies the data is accurate, resolves the objection, or the purpose for processing no longer applies.
