Article 20 - Right to data portability

Article 20 of the GDPR grants individuals the right to receive personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another controller without hindrance. The provision applies where processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means. It aims to increase user control and facilitate switching between service providers.
