Article 69 - Independence

Article 69 of the GDPR sets out the requirement that each supervisory authority must act independently, free from external influence, and with adequate resources. It obliges member states to ensure authority members have security of tenure, a single financial, organisational and administrative framework, and protection against dismissal except for just cause.
