Article 80 - Representation of data subjects
Article 80 of the GDPR allows data subjects to be represented by a recognized body, association or any other entity authorized to act on their behalf in legal proceedings, complaints to supervisory authorities, or negotiations with data controllers. The representative may exercise all rights of the data subject, including receiving information and filing actions, provided they have proper authorization. This provision facilitates collective redress and simplifies enforcement for groups lacking individual resources.
