Preparations of Meat, Fish or Crustaceans
Chapter 16 covers all processed animal products derived from meat, fish or crustaceans, including canned, dried, salted, smoked or otherwise prepared foods such as pâtés, fish sticks, surimi and ready-to-eat meals. It also encompasses mixtures of these meats with spices, sauces or other ingredients that are intended for consumption without further cooking. The heading excludes fresh or frozen meat, fish or crustaceans that have not undergone any preparation.
