Man-Made Staple Fibers
The United States Harmonized Tariff Schedule chapter 55 covers man-made staple fibers, which are synthetic or regenerated fibers produced in short lengths for textile use. It includes fibers such as acrylic, rayon, polyester and other chemically-engineered staple yarns, as well as related products and waste, but excludes continuous filament fibers that are classified elsewhere.
