Disseminated cryptococcosis

**Definition:** Disseminated cryptococcosis is most common in immunocompromised hosts, with involvement with any organ and predilection for the central nervous system. It may manifest as systemic illness with fever, night sweats and malaise. Blood cultures may be positive (cryptococcaemia).
