Benign neoplasm of oropharynx
**Definition:** A neoplasm of the oropharynx which is characterised by the absence of morphologic features associated with malignancy (severe cytologic atypia, tumour cell necrosis, and high mitotic rate). Benign neoplasms remain confined to the original site of growth and only rarely metastasize to other anatomic sites.
**Exclusions:** - Benign neoplasm of epiglottis, NOS - Benign neoplasm of epiglottis, suprahyoid portion
