Certain nutritional or metabolic anaemias

**Definition:** A disease caused by nutritional and metabolic determinants leading to anaemia. This disease is characterised by decreased levels of red blood cells within the body. This disease may present with fatigue, pallor or dizziness. Confirmation is by identification of a decreased red blood cell count in a blood sample.
