Bleeding diathesis due to thromboxane synthesis deficiency
**Definition:** A disease caused by thromboxane synthesis deficiency. This disease is characterised by low levels of eicosanoids (lipids), abnormalities in coagulation leading to haemorrhaging. Confirmation is by identification of low levels of eicosanoids in a blood sample.
