Food-induced eosinophilic gastroenteritis
**Definition:** A disease characterised by eosinophilic infiltration of various layers of stomach and intestine induced by specific food intake in the absence of any known cause of eosinophilia. It can occur in any age and the symptoms vary depending on the site of the intestinal tract involved and degree of eosinophilic inflammation, might include ascites, weight loss, oedema, obstruction.
