Food-induced eosinophilic oesophagitis
**Definition:** A chronic, immune or antigen-mediated oesophageal disease characterised by eosinophilic infiltration of oesophageal wall induced by specific food intake in the absence of any known cause of eosinophilia. The symptoms are related to oesophageal dysfunction, including feeding disorders, reflux symptoms, vomiting, dysphagia, and food impaction.
