Nontoxic goitre

**Definition:** Enlargement of the thyroid gland due to follicular multiplication, unaccompanied by hyperthyroidism or thyrotoxicosis

**Exclusions:** - congenital diffuse goitre - congenital goitre NOS - congenital parenchymatous goitre - iodine-deficiency-related goitre
