**Definition:** A metabolic disorder characterised by glucose levels too high to be considered normal, though not high enough to meet the criteria for diabetes.

**Inclusions:** - Impaired glucose regulation - prediabetes

**Exclusions:** - Idiopathic Type 1 diabetes mellitus - Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Diabetes mellitus, type unspecified - Elevated blood glucose level - Diabetes mellitus, other specified type
