Sleep-related hallucinations

**Definition:** Sleep related hallucinations are hallucinatory experiences that occur at sleep onset (hypnagogic hallucinations) or on awakening from sleep (hypnopompic hallucinations). Sleep related hallucinations are predominantly visual but may include auditory, tactile, or kinetic phenomena.
