Disturbances of temperature regulation of newborn

**Definition:** Normal body temperature of newborn is 36.5 degrees Celsius (S.D. = 0.6 degrees Celsius). Temperature above 38.0 and below 36.0 may be regarded as unusual and called hyper- and hypothermia respectively.
