Developmental nonodontogenic cysts of oral region

**Definition:** Cysts that arise from non-odontogenic (non-tooth forming) tissue. By definition, the cysts are lined by epithelium. These cysts include for example; nasopalatine duct cyst, palatal cyst of the neonate, globulomaxillary cyst and more.
