IgE mediated allergic enteritis of small intestine

**Definition:** Immediate type (IgE-mediated) enteric hypersensitivity due to exposure to an allergen in individuals previously sensitized. The symptoms are acute abdominal pain and diarrhoea and can be combined to other symptoms in cases of anaphylaxis.
