Acquired hypoganglionosis of large intestine

**Definition:** Acquired hypoganglionosis is characterised as a degeneration of ganglion cells and gliosis histologically. The prognosis is usually good following resection of the affected bowel.

**Exclusions:** - Congenital hypoganglionosis of large intestine
