**Definition:** Alcoholic cirrhosis is an advanced pathological stage of alcoholic liver disease characterised by diffuse fibrosis that links portal tracts and central veins, distortion of the hepatic architecture and the formation of regenerative nodules.

**Exclusions:** - Alcoholic hepatitis with cirrhosis
