Acquired poliosis

**Definition:** Circumscribed loss of hair pigment. This is most commonly associated with vitiligo (especially segmental vitiligo), alopecia areata or regressing melanocytic naevi. It is also a component of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome and Alezzandrini syndrome.
