Papulopustular rosacea

**Definition:** Papulopustular rosacea is characterised, as the name implies, by erythematous papules and sterile pustules affecting facial skin. These are typically located on the cheeks, central chin, nose and central forehead. The perilesional skin is inflamed and may be oedematous. In contradistinction to papulopustular acne, comedones, nodules and cysts are not a feature.
