Seborrhoea

**Definition:** The secretion of excessive amounts of sebum resulting in an excessively greasy skin, a situation which may cause considerable distress. It may be associated with a number of conditions including acne, acromegaly and Parkinson disease. It is not normally a prominent component of seborrhoeic dermatitis, which is an inflammatory dermatitis.
