Erosive pustular dermatosis of scalp

**Definition:** Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp is a distinctive scalp disorder of the elderly characterised by the development of sterile pustules, erosions and crusts in areas of chronically sun-damaged scalp skin. Local trauma may also play an aetiological role. It normally responds to high-potency topical corticosteroids.
