Medial epicondylitis of elbow

**Definition:** This is a common upper extremity disorder which is characterised by degenerative changes in the musculotendonous region of the medial epicondyle, resulting from repetitive stress of flexion and extension movements of the wrist joint.

**Long definition:** An overuse syndrome characterized by pain at the flexor-pronator tendinous origin seen in sports activities with repetitive valgus stress, flexion, and pronation, such as occurs in golf, baseball, tennis, fencing, and swimming
