Vulvar haematoma

**Definition:** An injury to the vulvar branches of the internal pudendal or inferior rectal arteries, caused by rupture and trauma due to childbirth, sexual abuse, or forceful impact. This injury is characterised by a localised collection of extravasated blood vessels and significant bruising. This injury may also present with an inability to urinate.
