Vaginal haematoma

**Definition:** A condition of the vagina, caused by trauma, commonly subsequent to childbirth, sexual abuse, or forceful impact. This condition is characterised by a localised collection of extravasated blood vessels and significant bruising. This condition may also present with pain, swelling, ecchymosis and urinary retention.
