Corpus luteum cyst

**Definition:** A condition affecting females, caused by the expansion of the corpus luteum with air, blood, or fluid in the ovary after ovulation of a follicle. This condition is characterised by a mass of up to 10 cm in diameter. This condition may also present with pelvic or abdominal pain, haemorrhage, or ovarian torsion.
