Frequent menstrual bleeding

**Definition:** A condition of the genital system affecting females, caused by hormonal change due to pharmacologic or nonpharmacologic agents. This condition is characterised by menstrual bleeding episodes that occur with increased frequency over several menstrual cycles (more than four episodes within 90 days).
