Perineal pain
**Definition:** A symptom of perineal pain affecting females, caused by trauma, infection, injury, inflammation, or hypersensitivity of the nerve fibres. This symptom is characterised by any type of pain in the area between the posterior lip of the vaginal introitus and the anus, during sexual intercourse, physical activity, or rest.
**Exclusions:** - Chronic primary visceral pain - Chronic secondary visceral pain
