Fistula of large intestine to vagina
**Definition:** A condition of the large intestine and vagina, caused by damage to the tissue due to childbirth, an inflammatory bowel disease, radiation treatment, cancer, or a complication following pelvic surgery. This condition is characterised by the formation of an abnormal passage between any part of the large bowel and the vagina. This condition may also present with leakage of bowel contents (faeces or gas) through the vagina.
